About Us - Balanced Rock Brewing

The idea for Balanced Rock Brewing has been over 15 years in the making, culminating at a venue that balances what our loyal patrons want in quality craft beers with our passion.

We will constantly strive to bring together a great Texas craft brew and food in an enjoyable pleasant atmosphere.

Balanced Rock Brewing is a brewery first and foremost; add quality food in a comfortable environment, and it becomes part of the community.

Originally, the venue was an eight-vendor food court and bar. When the founders walked in to the restaurant in 2017, their first impression was that “this would make a great brewery.” In early 2022 the property became available, and we were fortunate enough to acquire and begin the planning for transforming the space into an exceptional quality brewery.

We are humbled and excited to welcome you to the vision as it has come to fruition.

You may recognize JimJam (James Herrigton) from his 10+ years in the brewing industry, but you will never forget his inviting and effervescent personality.

JimJam started out his career at the Collective Brewing Project in Fort Worth where he made an array of sour beers for the DFW Metroplex. More recently, for the past 7+ years he was the head brewer at Turning Point Beer creating everything from hazy IPAs to malty red ales and crisp refreshing lagers, including World Beer Cup award winning brews.

Along with his expertise and love of craft beer, he is excited to bring this profound passion and love of our beer community to our patrons of Balanced Rock.
