The idea for Balanced Rock Brewing has been over 15 years in the making, culminating at a venue that balances what our loyal patrons want in quality craft beers with our passion.
We will constantly strive to bring together a great Texas craft brew and food in an enjoyable pleasant atmosphere.
Balanced Rock Brewing is a brewery first and foremost; add quality food in a comfortable environment, and it becomes part of the community.
Originally, the venue was an eight-vendor food court and bar. When the founders walked in to the restaurant in 2017, their first impression was that “this would make a great brewery.” In early 2022 the property became available, and we were fortunate enough to acquire and begin the planning for transforming the space into an exceptional quality brewery.
We are humbled and excited to welcome you to the vision as it has come to fruition.

Hi, my name is Michael Harper and I’m your brewer at Balanced Rock Brewery. I just love beer, it’s as simple as that.
I love the way it’s made, I love the way it tastes, but most importantly I love how it brings folks together. I’ve been brewing for a decade now, dedicating my life to brewing the best beer I know how and working to facilitate conversations between old friends, families, both biological and chosen, and even strangers. I’ve had the opportunity to work at some really cool breweries, and I’m pumped to be brewing your beer at Balanced Rock. I graduated from the American Brewers Guild in 2014 and since then have worked at breweries like Peticolas, Community, Oak Highlands, and Funky Picnic. I love traditional styles but also like stepping outside the tradition boundaries and creating new things. Let’s have a beer together soon!
